Our take:Self-hosted n8n when volume is high enough that per-task pricing hurts, or when customer data should stay on infrastructure you control inside India. Zapier when you need a niche integration nobody else has — its catalogue is unmatched. Make sits between the two. If you want zero server maintenance, do not choose self-hosted n8n, whatever the cost comparison says.

How much does workflow automation cost?
Cost is driven almost entirely by how many systems are being connected and how many edge cases each one has, not by the number of workflow steps. A three-node form-to-CRM flow and a multi-branch pipeline with AI decision nodes, error handling and monitoring differ substantially. Self-hosting adds a one-off infrastructure setup. We do not publish rate cards, because the honest range is wide enough that any published figure would mislead most readers. Should I use n8n, Make or Zapier?
Self-hosted n8n if you want your data to stay on infrastructure you control — which also keeps it in India for DPDP purposes — and if you would rather not pay per task. Make or Zapier if you prefer a managed cloud service with no server maintenance and are comfortable with per-task pricing.
What can actually be automated in my business?
The common ones are: form submission to WhatsApp notification plus CRM entry plus follow-up sequence; GST invoice generation with the payment link sent over WhatsApp; new order to stock update to fulfilment notification to tracking update; and candidate screening with interview scheduling.
What makes an "AI-powered" workflow different from a normal one?
A normal workflow follows fixed if/then rules. An AI workflow uses GPT-4 or Claude as a decision node — it can read an unstructured email, extract the relevant fields, decide which branch applies and route accordingly, which rule-based logic cannot do reliably.
How quickly do I get a quote?

Yes. SoulPlex Studios operates from two offices — Vadodara, Gujarat and Jaipur, Rajasthan — and works with clients across India remotely. Studio hours are Monday to Saturday, 09:00–21:00 IST.
What happens after the project goes live?
Every build includes handover documentation, and where relevant a walkthrough for your team. Ongoing support and optimisation can be arranged as a retainer if you want us to keep maintaining and extending the system.
